I've added a few cookbooks recently and wanted to tell you about them.
I'm still reading through Vintage Cakes, but I had a friend over to help me bake up the Old Vermont Burnt Sugar Cake with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting and it was delicious. Melt in your mouth yummy. So I can't wait to test a few more out of this one, but I'm now confident that Julie Richardson will not steer me wrong.
We fell in love with Lucinda Scala Quinn's pancake recipe a year ago from a specific search I made over the Martha Stewart site. Never really use anything else anymore. When I stumbled across Mad Hungry, the original recipe source, I finally purchased the thing. I have already made three recipes out of this one and still going strong. I really need to blog about the sour cream waffles. Soon.
